The brand new Panasonic 3D television (TH-P50VT20A) has arrived in-store.
This television boasts a 50 inch screen and is Panasonic’s first 3D television. Designed to reproduce the latest 3D movies at home, the set is also full of advanced features, such as access to websites including YouTube and Picassa, also it has an optional VOIP camera available ($199) which allows Internet conferencing through services such as Skype.
The rendering of the 3D discs show accurate, vivid colour with a great depth of field and very smooth transition along the Z axis (forward/backward). Viewing oncoming movement, you really feel like the object is coming out of the screen. It does not have the ‘layered’ appearance that old style (blue and red) 3D images had.
Of course you can watch the television in 2D mode, with Full HD 1080P resolution which looks absolutely stunning.
The television come with 1 pair of 3D glasses, with more are available for $199 per pair. You also receive a bonus 2 Blu-Ray disc demonstration package that shows some nice scenes in 3D.
Definitely worth a look if you’re a movie watcher or gamer, with soon to be released 3D games on PlayStation 3 a big hit at the recent E3 expo .
