One of the most significant improvements is the incorporation of Solid Perfect-Surface Copper+ (PSC+) conductors. This ultra-high-purity copper features an incredibly smooth surface that minimizes grain boundaries and distortion, resulting in a more natural, detailed, and immersive listening experience. Compared to standard copper, PSC+ enhances clarity, lowers noise, and improves overall musicality.

The outer diameter of Type 5 has also been increased, allowing for greater spacing between conductors. This 35% reduction in interaction between adjacent conductors further decreases distortion, preserving the integrity of the audio signal for cleaner, more dynamic sound reproduction.

Type 5’s quad-conductor design makes it an excellent full-range cable, but its unique construction also allows it to be used in bi-wire applications. Two of its conductors are thicker to handle low frequencies with authority, while the two thinner conductors precisely carry high-frequency signals. This separation reduces interference and improves phase coherence, enhancing both bass control and treble clarity.
